Better Care is looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join a dynamic team working on wise innovations for healthcare sector. Our main product, BC Link, is a software platform that links all the medical devices around the patient, processes data and generates alerts to support clinical decisions at the bedside.

The candidate will work within the framework of the project “SMARTVENT: Uso de algoritmos sobre señales fisiológicas para personalizar la atención al paciente crítico sometido a ventilación mecánica”, funded by the grant RETOS-Colaboración 2017 from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (Spain).

Requirements

  • Telecommunication Engineer, Mathematics, or related field. Doctorate degree preferably in Biomedical Engineering.
  • High level of digital signal processing techniques.
  • Experience in statistical data analysis and machine learning methods.
  • Strong programming skills (C++/C#, R and Python languages).
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL language.
  • Familiar with non-relational databases such as MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence BI tools for data analytics (Pentaho, Power BI, etc.).
  • Familiar with acquisition of biomedical signals (ECG, PPG, respiratory signals, etc.).
  • English language both spoken and written.
  • Critical thinking, self-improvement, team player, and good communication skills.

Additional Skills

  • Experience in the healthcare research.
  • Scientific publications in relevant fields.

Better Care is looking for a full stack web developer to start the development of a Data analytics web-based tool that exploits a PostgreSQL 10 database of patient’s health data records. The candidate will work within the framework of the project of “GeMS: Geriatric monitoring solution” funded by CDTI PID.

The right developer will have experience in:

  • Web fundamentals like HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS
  • JavaScript frameworks: AngularJS and React.
  • JQuery Libraries.
  • Bootstrap front-end CSS framework
  • JavaScript Charting libraries: Chart.js and AmCharts.
  • API design and development.

Better Care is looking for a Healthcare Data Analyst to apply business analytics to BC link’s data repositories (Vital signs, mechanical ventilation, infusion pumps, and clinical data) and extract trends and clinical insights. The candidate will work within the framework of the project “SMARTVENT: Uso de algoritmos sobre señales fisiológicas para personalizar la atención al paciente crítico sometido a ventilación mecánica”, funded by the grant RETOS-Colaboración 2017 from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (Spain).

Requirements

  • BSc/BA in Health Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) frameworks
  • Experience in data analysis and visualization methods
  • Understanding of healthcare procedures
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and data management systems
  • Proficient in SQL related data bases
  • Capable to Present and explain information in an accessible way (e.g clinical reports)

Better Care is looking for a Healthcare Quality assistant to support the regulatory processes of the company. The candidate will work within the framework of the project of “GeMS: Geriatric monitoring solution” funded by CDTI PID.

Requirements:

  • Bsc of industrial engineering.
  • Knowledge of quality systems.
  • Knowledge of standards related to quality systems (UNE EN ISO 9001 / ISO 13485) and updates.
  • Knowledge of the European Directive 93/42 / EEC.

Responsabilites:

  • As Responsible for the Quality System must ensure the implementation of the quality system based on the standards EN ISO 9001, EN ISO 13485
  • Keeping up to date all the documentation related to the quality system
  • Ensure the control and conservation of all documentation and quality records
  • Initiate corrective / preventive actions when finding nonconformities and / or repetitive defects in any process
  • Manage corrective and preventive actions considered necessary to remedy quality problems and follow up on them until their full implementation and closure
  • Manage all customer complaints
  • Communicate high-risk non-conformities to the Technical Responsible.
  • Schedule internal audits and ensure their implementation and follow-up according to the established audit plan. Inform the audited personnel of the non-conformities found and study with them the necessary corrective actions
  • Participate in the identification of the requirements of the products and processes, the review by management of the quality system, the management of the information, the description of the facilities and the continuous improvement
  • Determine the training needs of the staff
  • Determine the need for the use of statistical techniques and general criteria in the control and analysis activities
